Redlands Bicycle Classic weekend

This weekend was the Redlands Bicycle Classic. We took Ruby down there both days. The sling is awesome. On Sunday Aja and Tammy came over and we gave them a mini-tour of Redlands while the Classic was going on. (Yeah, missed photos of them holding Ruby too… next time.) :)

Here are a couple of clips of the racing action.

(yeah, I haven’t figure out the posting a link thing yet…)

Updated the photos with some cute outfit picture of Ruby in her new bigger size clothes.

We’ve been having difficulties as of late with Ruby not wanting to take her bottle. She’s fighting it really hard for some unknown reason after doing okay with a bottle after 4 weeks. (If you have any advice it would be well received.) We have heard that breastfed babies sometimes have this issue.

Wow, already

Today we put Ruby in her first 3M size outfit. She’s not quite 8 weeks old and already in 3M outfits. Wow.

Tim and Michelle came by today to see Ruby and us. I was lax in getting pictures of them with Ruby. :sigh: We’ll have next time to take pictures. It was really good seeing them.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

We went to the Royale Falconer pub to meet up with some friends for St. Patty’s Day (yes, we know it’s an English pub). We brought Ruby with us and she slept through all the noise while in the sling. We enjoyed the company and the fish-n- chips.

A kiss from grandma Rosie

Ruby has a heart birthmark on her thigh. We believe it is a kiss from grandma Rosie in heaven.

It is a special reminder that she is still with us and watching over Ruby.  oxoxox

There isn’t a manual?

Wouldn’t life with a newborn be much easier if someone could write individual manuals for  babies……they would make millions!!!

What?!? They're not included?

Added a few pics to the gallery.

We had several people show up at the same time and it turned into an impromptu party. Mike brought over his Wii and we played some Monkey Ball and had some cow races. A good time was had by all.

A new outfit

Ruby and in a new outfit.

It has been a while since the last update…

Ruby and mommy are doing well. We are all a bit tired.

Michelle has had her birthday and we had our 1st anniversary since the last post. Our friend Michelle (Parker) babysat for us while we went out to dinner at Mikan. It was a great time and the food was good. Michelle was a little anxious leaving Ruby for the first time.
Her baby acne is clearing up, which is a relief for us. I have been giving her a bottle every day which we hope will help with the transition of Michelle going back to work.

My uncle Mike passed away along with my friend’s birth father within the last month. It’s made me take a look at my life a little closer and see what’s important to me. I’m grateful for my family and friends. -Matt
